Purbadurgapur Welfare Society was founded in 2004 with the initiative of local village youth group towards providing human and society development in the target areas. After that, PWS started rural development activity by involving the rural youth and it started to provide services in three identified blocks named Kulpi, Diamond harbor & Mandir Bazar.

Goal of The Organization

To promote rural based programmes and projects with sustainable approaches for better livelihood, water & sanitation and related sector.

To create opportunities for personal growth and development, skill enhancement by providing technical and vocational skills to manage social effluxes through sustainable development approach.

To motivate and recognize each person's efforts and achievement so that one can recognize one's own worth. To empower the poor and marginalized communities specially the SC, ST and minority community through socio-economic and other developmental activities.

To provide supports system and services to the target group beneficiaries through efficient and readily available management information system and ultimately to reach out poorest and underprivileged section of the society for self-reliance in different social development aspects.
